PNA Audit — staff desk

The firm's audit-engagement manager. One encrypted .pna file per client carries an engagement from the appointment letter to the signed report, entirely offline — this site is only where the program and its product keys live. Setting up a machine for the first time? The instructions cover it end to end.

There is no installer — the downloaded file is the program. Keep it out of Downloads and pin it somewhere findable.

Get a product key

Your firm address receives a six-digit code; the code brings up your key. One key per person.

Must end in @painayak.com — that is what keeps this internal. Another address needs a partner to issue a key from the admin panel.

Already issued? Open My licence.

First run on a new machine

  1. Download the build above Move the file out of Downloads into Documents or a folder of its own — clearing out Downloads deletes the program itself.
  2. Past the Windows warning A blue SmartScreen box appears for our exe: More info ▸ Run anyway. Every other wording — Defender quarantine, Smart App Control — is handled in the guide.
  3. Enter your key The dashes appear as you type. Activation is the only moment the program uses the internet; after that it works with the cable pulled out.
  4. Save client files in the firm's OneDrive folder That one decision is the off-site copy, the version history and the recycle bin at once. Why.

Notes for the office

  • Replacing a computer.

Deactivate the old machine yourself at My licence — the seat frees immediately and the new computer takes it with the same key. Partners can do the same from the admin panel.

  • A licence past its date.

It keeps working for 7 days, with a warning on startup — nobody loses work mid-audit. After that the app opens read-only: everything can be looked at, nothing changed, until a partner extends the key in the admin panel and the extension reaches the machine by itself.

  • Someone leaves the firm.

A partner blocks their key in the admin panel. Their copy stops at the next launch that reaches the site online.

  • An air-gapped machine.

It can still be activated: the app shows a device ID, a partner mints a licence file, the machine works offline permanently. Steps in the guide.

  • Keys in general.

One per person, running 365 days, up to 2 machines each. Everything about every key — extend, seats, block, revoke, delete — sits in the partners' admin panel.

  • A Mac, an iPad, a client's desk.

The browser edition of the same program runs at /web/ — it opens and saves the same .pna files on the device, nothing uploaded. Activating a browser takes a seat, exactly as a PC does.
